According to Atlanta Police, a teen was in critical condition on Friday night after being shot near a residence at Clark Atlanta University.
The victim was found with a gunshot injury outside Beckwith Hall just before 11:00 pm on October 20.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta the victim was aged 18 years.
The victim and his girlfriend were sitting in front Beckwith Hall when a man approached them. He attempted to rob the couple. The victim and gunman got into a dispute, and then the gunman pulled out his gun and shot him before fleeing.
The victim was taken to Grady Hospital and in a critical condition.
According to Atlanta Police the suspect fled into a dark colored vehicle that was parked in the street.
The police are still investigating and searching for the suspect, as there has not yet been an arrest.
CAU officials have confirmed that the victim of the shooting was not a CAU student, and the incident had nothing to do with homecoming.
